Cone penetration interpretation softwareCPeT-IT is an easy to use yet detailed software package for the interpretation of CPTU data. CPeT-IT is the result of a collaborative effort with Gregg Drilling Inc., a leading company in geotechnical site investigation and cone penetration testing (CPT) and Professor Peter Robertson, co-author of the comprehensive text book on the CPT.

CPeT-IT takes CPT data and performs basic interpretation in terms of Soil Behaviour Type (SBT) and various other geotechnical parameters using the current published correlations based on the comprehensive review by Lunne, Robertson and Powell (1997), as well as recent updates by Professor Robertson.

Hogentogler digital sounding file converter

You may download a simple software to convert Hogentogler sounding files to .cor files so you may easily import them in CPeT-IT. The Hogentogler file structure is the one generated from the Hogentogler EFCS4 computer system. You may contact us if you need support for importing different file structures to CPeT-IT.

GeoExplorer Gorilla sounding file converter

You may download a simple software to convert Gorilla sounding files (v.7.1 specs) from GeoExplorer to .txt files so you may easily import them in CPeT-IT. The converter will export penetration data (depth, qc, fs and u2) as well as any dissipation test included in the file. You may also contact us if you need support for importing different file structures to CPeT-IT.

Geotech/Geoprobe CPT sounding file converter

You may download a simple software to convert Geotech/Geoprobe CPT sounding files to .txt files so you may easily import them in CPeT-IT. The converter will export penetration data (depth, qc, fs and u2). You may also contact us if you need support for importing different file structures to CPeT-IT.

  • CPeT-IT uses about 2.0 MB of disk space
  • CPeT-IT requires GDI+ library (included in Windows® XP) which can be freely downloaded from here
  • A 17'' monitor is recommended for better performance
