When the software starts, a blank page is presented with the default layout of an A3 page in landscape orientation. Before starting to create a 2D section it most probably needed to define a custom page size, unit system and drawing scale. To define a custom drawing page click on the File menu and from the drop down window that will appear select the Page Setup command. The following dialog will appear: ![]() Figure 2. Page setup dialog The dialog will display the current selected printer and the dimensions of the current page. It is highly recommended to adjust the page size according to the pages supported by your printer. This will assure that drawing objects inside your paper will be printed correctly when needed. Click on the small icon at the right of the selected printer name and the default Windows® printer dialog will appear. ![]() Figure 3. Custom page selection Click on the Size drop down combo box and select the paper size that is suited for the specific project. Click OK to close this dialog and return to the Page setup dialog that will show the updated page dimensions. Click on the Accept button to commit the changes made. The page in the drawing area will now have the wanted dimensions but you may need to define a custom map scale so that your sections fit inside this paper. Click on the File menu and select the Drawing Scale command. The following dialog will appear: ![]() Figure 4. Drawing scale dialog The dialog displays the current units used and map scale factor. Adjusting the scale factor will result the Drawing limits to be updated. Assuming a starting point of zero X and zero Y the drawing limits display the maximum real coordinates that can fit inside the page based on the defined scale factor. Click on the Accept button to commit the changes.
