You may export the 2D section as a graphic file or in DXF file format using the Export A Graphic or Export to DXF commands under the File menu. When exporting the drawing to a DXF file you will be prompt with a dialog in order to select the type of DXF file you wish to create (version 14 or 2000).

Notice that when exporting your drawing to a DXF file image objects are not included in the file.
