LiqIT provides 7 deterministic and one probabilistic method for liquefaction potential analysis using CPT field data. These methods are:

1. Eurocode 8 (1997)

2. Robertson et al. (1998)

3. Robertson et al. (modified)

4. Boulanger & Idriss (2004)

5. Juang detrministic (2006)

6. Olsons' Static liquefaction (2002)

7. Moss et al. deterministic (2006)

8. Moss et al. probabilistic (2006)

Excluding Robertson’s and Olson’s methods, user is able to decide, according to his geotechnical engineering judgment, which test points the program will check against liquefaction.

There is the option between testing all data entered, only those that meet Robertson’s criteria based on the value of the soil behaviour type index (Ic), or only those which meet the early Roberston’s and Campanela’s Zone A criteria

If no data regarding the fines content are provided, the program can automatically calculate the fines content using the Soil Type Behaviour Index.
